 The most important thing to note is that putting up a picture must lead to a pleasant atmosphere in the house .
Picture in black color or those showing cruel scenes , storms , ships caught in a storm , starving men and women , etc . which spoil the atmosphere , should not be put up.
According to the science of Feng Shui the design of the vastu (premises ) is made keeping in mind the Kuon number with regard to date of birth and business of the head of the family . Thus the epicenter of the design of the premises is an individual . So this science is individual oriented . The other members of the family , their progress , prosperity and health are considered secondary . But Indian vaastushastra is mass oriented . It gives equal justice to all members of the family . There is detailed guidance available in vastushastra regarding directions for old and young alike for their prosperity and good health .
Feng Shui has been able to receive world wide acceptance . The credit goes to the marketing that the Westerners have done . Till date we have not aggressively marketed our Indian Vastushastra.There are many who are blindly following Feng Shui without understanding vastu properly.Media also supported and propagated the concept of Feng Shui and was doing injustice to Indian vastushastra .
East to north , including northeast , are good location for landscapes , with green and water bodies but not mountains .
East to south , including southeast is a place for solar energy and is therefore pure and auspicious . Pictures in red color , flowers and beautiful but chaste women are good .
·In southwest attractive group photograph or individual photo of alive one is allowed .
·Pictures of high mountains , mountain passes ( but not chasm or valleys or water bodies ) rocks or tall building are good topics for a poster or photograph .
·In case of northwest picture which show blowing winds can be put up for example , birds flying , aircraft , transportation vehicles , telecom musical instruments , feel of fragrance .
Pictures of Lord Krishna ( young age ) eating curd or couple photo scenes of Lord and Radha are good subjects .
It is always good to put up in any number of posters of flowers . Posters of items meant for sale should be placed in northwest .
To put up a photograph or picture of our ideal or inspiration dead or alive , on the wall behind our seat as far as possible south to west is beneficial
