   Hello All,
   I had booked a flat in Ekta terraces kandivali west in february 2008 , and i was told by the sales person that possession would be given in march or latest by april. BUT in the agreement they had written June30 2008. when i inquired every week about the status the date kept shifting. in july they told us that if we want possession to do furniture work they are allotting the flats BUT we will have to deposit around 5lacs 20 thousand in a fixed deposit being marked as for service tax and VAT. they also want letters from us that the builder can demand from the bank the money anytime they wish. Since the matter is pending in court they want that amount be held indefinitely.
   1. We were not told of this potential liability at the time of booking though they knew that they would tell us later during possession time.
   2. What is the legal recourse we can take
   3. Is there a lawyer who can help us for the same
   
   My emis have already started as well as i am paying rent, I have paid 100 % of the flat cost including registration and stamp duty. Only amount pending is 18 months Advance towards maintenance which is to be paid at time of possession.
   
   
   I have spoken to the builders( Ekta world) office, the sales office and they refuse to give possession till we pay this amount. they are also not giving a demand note for the same which means that they do not want any proof against them that they are demanding this money.
   
   Somebody please help.

   I am in the same boat. I have booked in Ekta world. Also, the sales person is very arrogant.
